Ruth R. LoPrete is 1991 graduate of Indiana
University School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in English Literature from DePauw
University. Prior to attending law school, Ms. LoPrete
held various professional positions in the field of
Human Resources. After earning her law degree, she built
a successful career with Michigan Consolidated Gas
Company (MichCon). She gained extensive expertise in
contractual and regulatory issues affecting the
acquisition and transportation of natural gas, and
served as a witness in Gas Cost Recovery proceedings
before the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Ms. LoPrete serves
part-time as trustee and grant officer for a private
foundation and writes a monthly column for a national
publication highlighting current litigation affecting
the insurance industry. She is particularly interested
in issues affecting senior citizens and their families,
and serves as a Medicare/Medicaid counselor for the Area
Agency on Aging 1-B and on the Board of Visitors for the
Institute of Gerontology at Wayne State University. |
